DimTrace

Add Pages → Set Scale → New Item → Measure → Save.

Set Scale: choose Auto to let DimTrace find a usable dimension, or Manual to click the two ends of a known dimension and enter its length. Always review the result before relying on it.

Project Info: use Auto Fill to populate information from the plans, then review or edit the fields.

1. Click Add Overlay and choose the revised plan.
2. Use Zoom − / Zoom + / Fit to get close to clear reference points.
3. Click Point 1 and Point 2 on the overlay.
4. Click Place Overlay, then click those same two points on the original plan.
5. DimTrace aligns position, rotation, and scale automatically.
6. Use the main Overlay ON/OFF button to compare the plans quickly.

Area / Linear / Count activate from the selected takeoff item. The Measurement Multiplier applies to the entire takeoff item after measurements exist.

Templates may be loaded at any time; they add missing items without deleting work already in the project.

Enter Finish multi-point measurement · Esc Cancel · Ctrl+Z Undo · F8 Ortho · Space Precision magnifier.

After the Project Name is set, Auto Save protects changes in the background. The status near the Account button shows Saving / Saved / Save Failed. Manual Save remains available.

Open lists cloud projects first and loads the full drawing only when selected.

Account contains password/device controls and Billing & Subscription. Cancellation is inside Billing so it cannot be clicked accidentally from the main Account menu.
